Grand Canyon of Arxan is located in the primitive forest and is 20 kilometers away from the southeast of the Higgan Highway Service Center. It is a W-shaped canyon from south to north. The Grand Canyon is 11 kilometers long. The canyon bottom is 30-150 meters in width and 30-130 meters deep. The drop height is 20 meters per kilometer, and the mean water depth of the canyon bottom is 0.6 meter. The main section of the Grand Canyon is lava fault zone, which is formed from basalt flows erupted by Pleistocene Volcano through the flow erosion for thousands of years.
The Grand Canyon embraces jagged rocks and dropping waterfalls, and it is cloud-covered with numerous wonders. The peaks at both sides are steep and dangerous, and it has a wide distribution of wild plant species on both sides. Pine trees growing on the peaks are thick and upright. Moreover, rivers gushed out from the mountain spring are flowing through the bottom of the canyon in uneven width. Sometimes they are rapid, and sometimes they are slow. The integral landscape is beautiful and magnificent. People will feel the peace and beauty of nature when standing at the bottom of the canyon.
